What are the Lightning Round oral presentations?

The Lightning Round oral presentations are 3-minute presentations where investigators will provide a general overview of their poster, with a special emphasis on the relevance to Veterans.

Who will be presenting?

Eleven investigators will be chosen based on their abstract submissions. Participants will be notified via email from the awards committee, and they will compete for a Lightning Round Best Presentation award.

Can I ask the presenters questions?

Yes! Please visit their poster during the poster session (11:15am – 1:15pm) to ask them all the interesting questions you have.

1. Where is visitor parking located at the hospital?

See attached parking map.

2. Is parking free or is there a fee for hospital visitors?

Parking is free.

3. How far is the parking lot/garage from the main entrance?

The main hospital entrance is across the crosswalk and Emerald Lot.

4. Is there a time limit for how long I can park?

There is no time limit for parking.

5. What should I do if the parking lot is full?

If the parking lot if full, you may choose to park in the lots across 131st Ave off of Livingston Ave, Freedom Lot and Liberty Lot.

6. What safety and security measures are in place for the parking areas?

The parking garage/lots are monitored by VA Police; however, please do not leave any valuables in your car. If you feel unsafe, you may contact VA Police at 813-972-7554 and they can provide you with an escort.
